Sunflowers

Beautifully bright, drawn to the light, and both amazingly resilient and useful; the sunflower stands for powerful resilience and connection. Sunflowers are incredibly resilient crops, and were a historically important to Native Tribes of North America as they were used for everything from food, to medicine, to dye, to building materials. The old Choctaw word for sunflower translated to little suns. The sun was considered the eye of the Creator and the way the flower face followed the sun as it moved through the day made me think of that line of connection and keeping a little piece of that with you. The faces of the flowers are designed with the suns facing a different direction as a nod to time being cyclical, but not necessarily linear. 

Chain length is 16 inches, and is meant to delectably sit just below the collar bones. Please contact me in regards to any requests to changes in length.

The pendant, chain, and clasp are all made entirely in Argentium silver. Argentium silver is an alloy similar to sterling but with a higher amount of fine silver. It’s brighter white in color, hypoallergenic, tarnish resistant, and eco friendly as the maker of Argentium silver always utilizes all available recyclable metals before ever depleting newly mined resourses. Additionally, I find finished Argentium silver to have a uniquely silky feel that I haven’t noticed in other metals.
