Curious Fox

Foxes are, very obviously, a reoccurring theme throughout my work. I love what they represent in many cultural mythologies: curiosity, cleverness, trickery, and wisdom; while the existent creatures display an incredible adaptability in both their quick-minded nature and to various wild and urban environments. This particular fox emphasizes it’s curious nature with the questioning tilt of it’s head, as there are often times in life where we should all be more questioning and curious of the things and events that surround us.

The original is made with the ancient technique of chasing and repoussé. 

The necklace is done in a lariat style.  

The pendant, chain, and clasp are all made entirely in Argentium silver. Argentium silver is an alloy similar to sterling but with a higher amount of fine silver. It’s brighter white in color, hypoallergenic, tarnish resistant, and eco friendly as the maker of Argentium silver always utilizes all available recyclable metals before ever depleting new resources coming from mines. Additionally, I find finished Argentium silver to have a uniquely silky feel that I haven’t noticed in other metals.
